    The Cape May County Prosecutor's Office of Victim Witness Advocacy's mission is to ensure that victims of crime are treated with fairness, compassion and respect by the criminal justice system as mandated by Paragraph 22, Article 1 of the New Jersey Constitution.  To that end, the primary purpose of the Office of Victim Witness Advocacy is to ensure that victims' rights are protected (Crime Victims Bill of Rights, NJSA 52:4B-36), and that their unique needs are addressed.

    The Cape May County Prosecutor's Office of Victim Witness Advocacy is committed to the Special needs of crime victims, survivors and witnesses.  In an effort to reduce the trauma and confusion caused by crime, this office offers support and guidance to crime victims or witnesses, and their families.

    The Office of Victim Witness Advocacy provides services to assist victims and witnesses in coping with the aftermath of victimization and attempts to make their participation in the criminal justice system less difficult and burdensome.
